The story
From challenge to solution.
The starting point
At the start of the project, Grundschule Schnabelwaid had an outdated website with designs that did not suit its audience. A group of interns had also approached the headteacher with an offer to update it free of charge – but they were not designers.
The solution
Universal Brands refined the school’s existing logo and redesigned all the headers for the new website. The project also included a poster for the school entrance.

Context
A school website has many readers: parents looking for information, children who want to recognise their own school, and teachers who use it every day. For Grundschule Schnabelwaid, the focus was therefore on clarity and warmth, not visual effects. The refined logo builds on the familiar; the new headers give each section its own image. The entrance poster brings the same design from the website into the school building – where the children arrive each morning. Completing all this in one week shows how much a clear master concept can accelerate a project: once the core idea is in place, the website, logo and print materials follow the same direction. Simple means give a small school visibility without losing its character.
